VALDOSTA, Ga. - One of the most anticipated projects in Valdosta, Ga., the Lowndes County Judicial Complex was topped out by Pinnacle Prime Contractors, Inc. (Pinnacle) today. More than 10 years of planning culminated in the event, as attendees including figureheads, judicial employees and project crewmembers gathered at the five-story structure. This important contribution to the County broke ground in February 2007, and is scheduled for completion in July 2008.

"We thank Pinnacle and the company's subcontractors for their great leadership of this accomplishment," said Superior Court Judge H.A. McLane. "They have worked hard and remained committed to this symbol of justice in Lowndes County."

Overlooking downtown at 327 North Ashley Street, the Judicial Complex is a true representation of Valdosta's bright future and how well it has developed. The dramatic topping out included the placement of the highest beam and a catered reception. Speakers noted that Valdosta is thriving, reflected by the many recent topping outs of major facilities in town.

"We are honored to have the opportunity to build these important facilities in our own community," said Tom Hutchinson, president of Pinnacle. "The Judicial Complex will be a sound and distinguished structural landmark for Lowndes County's judicial employees and citizens."

The 158,000-square-foot, structural steel facility was designed by Ellis, Ricket & Associates of Valdosta and is the fifth government building Pinnacle has constructed to date, adding to its resume of diverse capabilities.
